Tuesday was the one year anniversary of Left Wing economist Paul Krugman’s classic housing bubble article “That Hissing Sound”,[1] yesterday that of Right Wing pundit James K. Glassman’s reply “My Stalker”.[2] Both authors have recently penned assessments of the current state of the US economy. Glassman wrote two months ago [3], Krugman just yesterday.[4] As the US mid-term elections heat up in an environment of a possibly unraveling housing market, the economy will certainly be critical, and even with wars raging and issues aplenty, it could well be decisive. Glassman and Krugman are two of the strongest spokespersons for their sides. Have a look at their papers and see how they measure up.
