Housingdoom Regretfully is Requiring Registration

I was warned by our Sys Admin that this day would come, but I have resisted it–I hate bothering with registration.  When posters decide to become spammers though, the only way we have to stop the practice is to require registration.

We hate people spamming us- so be assured we won’t do it to anyone else.  Having your email (which has always been required anyway) helps us and Igor (our spambot jailer and Grand High Executioner) determine that you are in fact a real person.  Your information will not be sold,or shared with others.

How At Risk Are Homebuilders?

In speaking of the housing sector yesterday, BB&T analyst Todd Vencil indicated that while most builder and sector metrics were currently poor and worsening, Some of the early indicators — including mortgage applications and levels of inventory in certain markets — are beginning to suggest that while we may not be at the bottom of the business cycle yet, we’re at least progressing toward it. 

The market’s confidence in homebuilders has increased in recent weeks–most homebuilder stocks have rebounded somewhat since the end of July.  However, the bankruptcy of Kara Homes has been talked about a great deal lately, and begs the question, "Are other builders at risk?"
