As you know, I am no finance expert but..Riddle me this Commissioner Gordon: Fannie just sold $3B 10 year notes at 40 basis point below August 15, what gives...higher risk=lower yield? Ya, I know the fed stopped, but could it be the alternatives for savy, risk averse foreign money(opinion Jan?) are so much bleaker: Trump-like US auto paper at a 9 %; Chinese &quot;party paper&quot;;pre-confiscation paper from our new Latin friends; realtor commssion futures? Given that maple leaves get a little bulky in that quantity, could it be the US$ and old Fannie&#039; mortgages(even middle-jumbos) still look, correctly, like shelter from the storm?
By the way, on AOL, a top five story was the plight of &quot;tweeners&quot; and the double mortgage curse they share. Good piece and no, I got no idea what the URL is, which I always thought meant the Ukrainian Rugby League, sorry.</description>
