Lame Duck Compromise - Too Little Too Late?
The lame duck session of the present Republican Part controlled Congress runs out Thursday. Even though it was announced yesterday that a compromise had been reached on strengthened GSE regulation, it looks like Fannie and Freddie are off the hook for now. Time is running out, and the clock will likely run down before the compromise on F&F oversight can be effected.
