A week ago I started labeling sidebar stories discussing the fallout from last Thursday’s bad news from HSBC’s [typo corrected, thanks to the Doomer that pointed this out!] and New Century’s subprime mortgage businesses as "Black Thursday". Doom commenter Old Mike has strongly criticized this choice since then. Yesterday we carried on an extended exchange under Monday’s Crack of Doom, and our combined efforts resulted in finding several recent stories that addressed the issue.
