Yesterday Jay Butler of Realty Studies at Arizona State University’s Polytechnic campus released his Phoenix home sales report for April. In April of 2006, Butler said of the lackluster 5,980 sales:
This is the weakest April since April 2000 with 4,870.
This April sales are weaker still than April 2000, with 4,855 sales. That’s down 19% year-over-year, and the second straight decline for April.
