Doom has been avidly watching the rise of new housing blogger Bill Maloni [1] over the last couple of months. This former Fannie head lobbyist and now self-proclaimed independent commentator is clearly still in sympathy with his most recent employer. Furthermore, he subscribes to the idea that the big GSEs’ substantial political risk derives from Democratic / Republican party politics, and in particular Republican party anti-Fannie prejudice. So our ears perked up on Tuesday when he posted a story [2] that read a bit like a victory lap.
