Loonie on a Roll

American Doomers may be wondering what all the fuss is about, but Canadians have been transfixed in recent months with the rise of the Loonie. Here’s what the Toronto Star said earlier today.[1] “The Canadian dollar continues to gain traction, breaking the 94 cent (U.S.) barrier for the first time in 30 years and buoyed by a forecast of one major bank that parity is in sight by the end of the year. Pending Home Sales- Give it up NAR, We’ve Got Your Graph

Prior to the release of the NAR’s Pending Home Sales Report this morning, Yahoo Finance said optimistically: A real estate trade group will release data Friday that is expected to show a slight increase in pending sales of existing homes for April. If the data from the National Association of Realtors reveals what analysts predict, it could be an indication that sellers have lowered prices enough to cause a pickup in sales. A Year of Housing Doom

Well Doomers, it was exactly one year ago today that HousingDoom was launched with this scintillating and informative post. I like to think we’ve gotten better with time. I hope so anyway. A little history After posting that initial effort , I struggled for the next few weeks to learn HTML and put together some resources for people who were interested in buying in the Phoenix East Valley.
