In Thursday’s New York Times was an article about protests launched against Countrywide Financial:

 The company became a target of borrower anger in Boston as about 100 people gathered at three Countrywide offices to protest its practices.

The delinquency figures released on Thursday by Countrywide together with the protest, organized by the Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America, indicate that Countrywide finds itself increasingly at the center of the mortgage storm that began this year.

Now I’ve heard enough about Countrywide to believe that there are borrowers out there with valid complaints.  There’s a few things about this protest though, that bothered me.  For one thing, I couldn’t help but notice all those NACA shirts in the picture.  Because of the prominence of the shirts, I went to NACA’s website [Neighborhood Assistance Corporation of America] and read their press release about this boycott:
