It’s completely appropriate to dislike all 3 candidates.

As much as I dislike Hillary and Obama, and as much as I want less government, more freedom, and less taxation and govt spending, it’s very clear that neither Bush NOR McCain represent that.

So if they don’t represent what a Republican is.. who does?

If I wasn’t already writing in my choice of candidate (which I’ll leave out here), I’d just as soon write in “None of the above”.

I’d rather stick to housing too. I’m usually sorry when I let posts run to the political side. Unfortunately, who’s going to best deal with this mess [Or at least be the lesser of three evils] is relevant- so I risk it now and then.

I’m with brucewho. More fun to discuss housing problems than to bash each others’ political views. Vote for who you want…just vote period. Before you do though, ask yourself if this country is better off now than 8 years ago.

In another thread a reference to a time 10-15 years from now with a $1.00 down and stipulations to renovate may not be too far off (in some cities). There is no one person or constituency that can fix 15 years of the American ship on autopilot……It will all be okay, really!

Vote and get into your local issues. Change laws and make things happen. Our passive society has helped create the America we have today. By the people means crap in our society.

Twist, this was news up in Canada a couple of months ago, but just barely.

Very IMPORTANT to note is that the agreement is supposed to work BOTH ways. Under the agreement the U.S. has the right to march into Canada under “emergency” conditions too.

There were a lot of questions left unanswered to Canadians, and it seemed to just fall off the radar.

Funny that “mortgagemess” should express concern about Canada’s military having permission to enter the U.S. under a time of national emergency. Is this seriously threatening to anybody that realizes how much more vast and strong the U.S.’s military resources are?

Maybe there wouldn’t be a need for Canadian soldiers to be “on call” if some hundred-thousand plus U.S. soldiers weren’t over in Iraq because of the WMDs…er, no I mean because Saddam was supposedely linked to Al Quaida. McCain admitted that he doesn’t know much about economics. I suppose at least that’s honest, and admitting you have a problem is the first step toward dealing with it. Unfortunately, he doesn’t sound that INTERESTED in economics to me- he seems way to obsessed with the war.

When Hillary talks about housing, it’s clear she wants to keep prices from falling and keep folks in their overpriced homes.
