I don’t agree with everything Bernie Sanders (I-VT) espouses, but when he says that taxpayers shouldn’t have to pay for bailing out Wall Street, I’m ready to give him the floor: [Thank you MB for the video]

To the Honorable Rep. Shadegg,
I am writing you as a constituent from your district to inform you that I hope you remain vigilant in your stance to vote *against* the bailout bill facing the House. I’m positive that you will not fall prey to the short-sighted nature of this bill, and the massive bribes – excuse me – earmarks that have now inflated a 3-4 page BAD idea into a 400 page REALLY BAD idea. I’ve often heard used car sales men tell me that I need to act immediately or with urgency because the deal will not be around forever, but in that case as with the case of this bailout; when ever someone tells us that we must act now it means the deal is usually harmful to us.
I’m hopeful that you’re not going to fall for the fear-mongering offered by Treasurer Paulson. As was said by some smarter than I, “The banks are more than likely not lending or trying to sell their bad investments at a fair market price right now because they’re ANTICIPATING a free hand out from the American taxpayer.” America and her children have always stood up to bullying – foreign and domestic. Right now Representative Shadegg, we the American people are being bullied by bankers threatening to send our economy down the tubes, if we do not pay up. I say, “I will not pay your extortion fee!” I DO NOT believe that our economy will be halted forever WITHOUT this bailout. Where there is a need for credit for small businesses, reasonable and responsible lenders will be there.
I’m a big believer in the free-markets Representative Shadegg. I believe that by giving a handout to banks that took on too much risk and lost, the United States Congress will become a short-seller of talented Americans. You will have taken away any reason for anyone to be responsible for their actions, and given all the reason for people to act like children.
There is more to be lost by voting yes for this bill Representative Shadegg than by voting no. For one, if you vote yes on this bill, you will have lost my vote in your upcoming run for re-election as I will have lost all hope for my future, my children’s future, and my grand-children’s future.
Sincerely and with great hope,
*only costs $700 Billion plus 150 billion more in earmarks.
Didn’t McCain say about earmarks….”You will know their name!!!” I guess he can put his own name at the top of the list? Oh wait….that’s right….these aren’t earmarks because they aren’t specifically requested by individual states. This thing gets more ridiculous by the day. I thought i saw that Shadegg was going to vote yay, but not sure? And I heard Kyle’s explanation of circumventing the constitution yesterday…..he made it sound like it would have been unconstitutional NOT to have the senate vote first. RIDICULOUS!!!!!

This from Karl Denninger on Sept 30th (if you haven’t seen it already) is pretty passionate:
John-
I like your video a lot better than mine. Here’s Palosi on why the “No Lender Left Behind Act” should pass:
I lived in the Bay Area for 12 years… Pelosi has changed from a San Francisco grandmotherly progressive, to a Blue-Dog Democrat type.
My sweet jebus, I’d take Bernie’s ‘socialism’ in a Phoenix minute.
How can Pelosi have gone so far wrong on EVERYthing?
