I’m trading in my computer for an apron today- I have some serious cooking to do.
Economic catastrophe can wait for tomorrow, today is a day to ponder all that we have been blessed with. Even with all the problems the U.S. is facing, there is a great deal to be thankful for.

I would like to give thanks to L and M and all the other unsung "heroes" who send us links and keep us abreast of what’s happening in the trenches. My thanks also goes out to Mr. Twist and our Admin for their behind the scenes contributions. [Mr. Twist covers my "real world" duties A LOT as well as functioning as my editor. Without him, Doom would not be possible.]
As always, a special thanks to John. He doesn’t just add links to the sidebar- he makes sure that the headlines and comments summarize not only the article, but the topic- he makes the sidebar a running commentary of the day. Running the sidebar is harder than you might think. John also spends a lot of time researching his posts and pulling a lot of complex data together. He also helps me keep Igor in line. Poor Igor was programmed to be paranoid, and we need to keep an eye on him or no one would be able to post!
My thanks also goes out to our regular readers. It’s always amazing and humbling to me that thousands of folks are willing to stop by and read what we have to offer every day. We try hard not to disappoint you.
Last, but not least- a big thank you to our posters. You put up with my prudishness, you keep us honest, informed and entertained.
May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
God bless,
Twist

Twist, John and all Happy Thanksgiving! We do have a lot to be thankful for. Freedom to watch football all day long. More food in 1 day than some families in almost a year. Freedom from terrorism and other forms of evil. Freedom for minorities to grow up to become president and little girls the same. And the freedom to love my God and my country.
I would like to give thanks to the Charles Goyette radio show. Back in 2004-2005 he would have a segment each friday with Jim Rogers. Jim would warn weekly that this housing market was in a bubble. Thanks to this warning our house in Fountain Hills went on the market in the winter of 2005 and sold early 2006. We have been renting since.
I also became aware of Twist and Mish as they were both guests of Charles on the show. They have both kept me informed so as to not buy back into the market early.
Happy Thanksgiving to all.
Twist,
Thanks for everything. I have gained a lot of knowledge from your web site. Knowledge is power.
Have a great Thanksgiving!!!
