Am I alone in experiencing a desire to strangle these people? To begin with, you either close the U.S. border now, or you don’t bother. Closing it a week from now would be completely pointless. If human-to-human transmission of the virus has not already taken root in the United States, it will certainly have done so once another few hundred thousand people have crossed the border.

You almost have to laugh as they say no pigs have been found to have swine flu. Pigs carry MRSA and staph as well.

Luckily the swine flu is just a bad case of the flu, and if it gets bad it’ll just kill millions, we’ve got billions! so I doubt the human race has anything to worry about.

If it kills you, you were probably sick from something else to begin with.

That is a little too close for comfort, isn’t it?

I heard a short update in the car at the end of the CBC 8PM hourly news. It was the last story before something about an actress from the Golden Girls passing away. They casually mentioned the most affected are healthy young adults. That was a signature of the 1918 event.

This is creepy- particularly with cases just down the road from me.

I hope this round is more like the swine flu panic of 1976, instead of its more virulent predecessor.
